The Library's Interlibrary Loan service can borrow books, videos and other media from library systems outside our own. To make a request, call your nearest branch. Can I request that the Library buy a certain book? The Library does accept purchase requests from patrons but we cannot guarantee that requested items will be acquired. I need some information but can't get to the Library. What can I do?The Library can provide short answers to your questions over the phone at any branch, via text message, or through the Electronic Reference form on our web site. Or, we can do more in-depth research for you and hold the information until you come in. How can I get a copy? You can have books transferred from any branch to your branch library. This usually takes 2–3 days and the service is free. Call your local branch to request the title. All copies of the book I want are checked out. What can I do?The Library can add your name to a list of people who want to read that book — a HOLD list. When the book is available, you are contacted and you can pick up the book at the branch library you request. |
