Computer Services
- Creates and maintains a web page, with an online calendar of events, selected Internet resources, a children's and a young adult page.
- Provides access to the Library's online catalog. Patrons can access their record and can place holds and renew library materials online.
- Assists patrons with technical problems regarding the online catalog and the Library's state-sponsored online databases and library-owned online databases and the Library web page.
- Installs, maintains, upgrades and troubleshoots public access computers, terminals and laser printers at the Main Library and twelve branches.
- Creates online lists of new books, videos, and audiocassette titles for patron use.
- Collaborates with the Reference Department to develop and maintain a local online and printed database of community organizations and services.
- Assists the Reference Department with implementing and troubleshooting use and access to new and existing online databases.
