What are RSS feeds?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a standard format used to share content on the Internet and a convenient way to keep up with the latest Library information and other additions to the site.
How can I use RSS feeds?
As you'll see if you click on any RSS link, you can't view RSS content through a browser or in an email. RSS feeds are written in XML (eXtensible Markup Language) and require a newsreader or aggregator to access. Follow the instructions in your reader to subscribe to the feed of your choice. You will usually need to copy and paste the feed URL into the reader.
Where can I get an RSS reader?
You can download and install a piece of software called a newsreader or aggregator. You can also use an online RSS reader, which works from any web browser. Some of the more popular RSS readers include:
