Discover the Louisiana Historical Photographs Collection of the State Library

Here, we spotlight photographs that capture the African American experience in our community.  This month we feature the Louisiana Historical Photographs Collection of the Louisiana State Library.

This special collection features stunning images of Baton Rouge's earliest schools, construction scenes from Southern University, and some of the state's first African American librarians.

The thumbnails will link directly to the LOUISiana Digital Library, where you will be able to view an enlarged image plus obtain more information about each photo.  Enjoy!
