Louis Ford is a traditional jazz clarinetist and one of New Orleans Magazine's Jazz All Stars for 2007.  We expect Louis to play a little dixieland in his set, but you never know what someone's favorite things might be...

Alex V. Cook is a freelance music writer and author of the book, Darkness, Racket & Twang. Alex writes about the local music scene in 225.  Alex's tastes are eclectic -- no tellin' what he will play!

John Smart is a local jazz pianist known for his unique musical approach.  While his influences run from country to rock, his real love is avant garde and free jazz.  John's set will showcase vanguard jazz artists like Ornette Coleman, Sun Ra and Anthony Braxton.  Space is the place...

Rob Payer is the program director for Baton Rouge High's radio station WBRH. He's the guy we have to thank for the excellent evening jazz broadcast! Rob's an avid music listener and a big jazz fan -- and he's planning on including many famous and not-so-well-known jazz vocalists in his set.

Harry Anderson is the Director of the Jazz Institute at Southern University.   Harry has played everything with just about everybody so his influences are very broad.  He'll probably include some bebop selections in his playlist -- and maybe a little Mingus!

John Harden has been a saxophone sideman in jazz and big bands all over the Baton Rouge area. He's known for his big sound and his aggressive playing style. Expect to hear some great saxophone players in his set.
