Super Cool Fashions, a one-stop-shop for men's wear, can outfit a man from head to toe with everything he needs. Suits and men's leisure sets are available in a full range of sizes from 36 through 60, and boys' suits come as small as toddler size.  With suits in an array of colors and cuts, owner Keith O'Connor can help coordinate a look with matching or contrasting shirts, ties, belts, socks, shoes, and hats as well as cufflinks, tie tacks and other accessories.  He has three employees and offers expert tailoring. The shop carries the basics as well as the newest offerings of the ever-changing fashion industry. "My vision was for a men's store that took fashion to a new level."

Born in New Orleans, but raised in Baton Rouge, O'Connor has been in the clothing business for thirty-three years.  He joined the US Navy after high school then worked at a bank before settling into his chosen field as a clothing store salesman.  After going to Business College, he dreamed of owning his own shop.  With the responsibilities of raising three daughters as a single parent after his wife died, he had to wait a long time before he could do what he'd always wanted. He operated his business at the Florida Street Flea Market at first and has been in his present location for about a year and a half.

O'Connor believes the role of the small businessman in the community is to help his community to grow, and his vision for the future is that his own business will help stimulate the economy of Baton Rouge. His advice to other budding entrepreneurs is to just do it. "Everyone deserves to have time to do their own thing." His biggest challenges have been keeping up with the changing styles of each fashion season and dealing with fluctuations in the economy.

When asked why he chose this particular business, O'Connor replies, "I'm a stylish man so why not?" With a passion for what he does, he sees every customer as important, each person as special. He wants to continue to provide fine fashion at a reasonable price and to give the best service he can. O'Connor says he stepped out in faith and is doing what he wants to do now. "I believe if I can do it anyone can. Put God first and everything will fall in place."
